How do I scan a document into ESPC Legal?

Scanning a document into ESPC Legal is the best way to get a paper document into the system. To do this you will need to have a scanner that is able to scan to email.

Go to your scanner and get your document ready, in the ‘To’ field add in the following email address: scans@scans.espclegal.com

In the subject line of the email, you must add the five digit ESPC Legal transaction reference number (note there is no need to add the ‘#espclegal’ into the subject when scanning)

You are also able to rename the document at this stage, by adding a comma after the reference number and adding the name you wish the document to have e.g. I have a document I wish to add to my transaction ref. 4231/1234 that I would like to rename ‘Qualified Acceptance’ – the subject line of my scan will be ‘1234,Qualified Acceptance’.

QR code method

To avoid the need to key in the reference number on the scanner (which can be fiddly) you can instead print a QR code sheet from the transaction screen in ESPC Legal and place this at the front of the document. The QR method has the advantage of needing fewer keystrokes and you can also scan multiple documents at once, each separated by a QR sheet.

Go to your scanner and get your document ready, in the ‘To’ field add in the following email address: qrscans@scans.espclegal.com

Once scanned into ESPC Legal successfully, this document will appear in the Sorting Office of the corresponding transaction.
